Club News   updated 09/02/10

Next meeting is Thursday Sept 2nd, 7:00 pm
Meetings are held in the Eagles Lodge on Stillwell Ave (across from the Tillamook library) on the first Thursday of every month. Everyone is invited.  We discuss local club business topicss, as well as general RC and aviation.  You can bring your latest project to show or bring items to sell or swap.

Field improvements
Part of the airfield was leveled and seeded, with more to follow. We received a very generous donation from an anonymous member that will allow us to hire a grader to finish the job. No timetable has been set for starting the next phase of leveling, but expect to see some more bare dirt this fall before the rainy season starts. We want to build a small storage shed or obtain a steel shipping container for storing the mowers when we can afford it as well.

Free hands-on training  flights
Newcomers to the rc hobby can come to the airfield on Saturday mornings for some free RC training.  If you have a Futaba transmitter we can plug into your training port and then recover your plane if it goes wayward on you during the flight.  If you don't have a plane yet we can provide one of ours for some hands on training.
