March News and Meeting notes

leprochaun2The meeting on March 7th was well attended, about 8 were present. The financial report was given. We discussed an odd but harmless looking notice that the bank mailed to the club. We have to change our meeting dates to the first Monday of each month because of room scheduling conflicts.  We also decided to change the lock combo on the shed.  Ask another member for the new lock combo number.

Matt, noting the start of a new flying season, urged everyone to remember safety at the airfield.   We talked about the McMinnville swap meet and discussed various model builds.  Gary mentioned that he may be filming more footage from his quad for a local TV channel. Rob Andrews described his custom radio conversion to 2.4 ghz.  The subject of Airfield maintenance was brought up, but nothing urgent or pressing was noted.  Pete brought in some balsa kits and parts that a neighbor had given him, they were airframes without electronics in various stages of construction. They looked like they had been put together very well, and they all went to good homes.
